We hold three sessions of 6 weeks (on Sunday) each year at the Topeka Shawnee County Public Library from 2:00-3:00 pm.

Prairieland is a fun and friendly group of folks from the heartland who are interested in promoting the human/animal bond.
Our group provides registered pet therapy teams to nursing homes, retirement homes, hospitals, schools and other facilities that can benefit from interactions with a therapy animal.
The Association meets 4 times a year, participates in local community events and provides speakers to various organizations.
We encourage evaluation and registration of animals to ensure that they are welcome at every facility. Our members belong to: Pet Partners or Alliance of Therapy Dogs.

Prairieland welcomes all people, even if you don't have a therapy animal at this time!
Starting in 2023, dues are $30 for Active members or $20 for Associate members. They are due annually on January 1.
